To train to proficiency Category B1 on engine starting and testing on the aircraft. The course provides experience with starting and running the engines and operating the systems. It emphasizes recognition of normal/abnormal engine and system operation and check of engine performance characteristics. Normal and emergency engine running and assiciated safety are included in the coiurse. The course is comprised of theoretical study and practice (including hot run-up training) on the aircraft or simulator.
